The Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resources Engnr Yahaya Farouk has reiterated Gov Ododo's commitment to providing potable water to the good people of Kogi State.
Hon.Engineer Yahaya Farouk made the disclosure during a visit to Idah, Ajaka, Ugwolawo and Anyigba Water Works when he paid homage to the Attah of Igala while on inspection tour of water facilities in the Eastern Senatorial District.
The Commissioner who was in company of the Hon Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, his Permanent Secretary, Directors of the Ministry, Party Stalwarts including Alh. Friday Idachaba, Hon. Haruna Idoko Musa Chairman,Transition Committee,Idah LGA, said the present Administration is committed to the provision of potable water to the citizens.
The Commissioner who said the visit to Eastern Senatorial District was to enable the government have a first hand information of the water facilities assured that no stone would be left unturned in ensuring that potable water is made available to the public.
He also assured that the present administration of Gov. Ododo would do whatever is humanly needed to ensure that the Eastern Water Works is revived for the people to get potable water.
The Hon Commissioner paid glowing tributes to the Attah Igala, Eje of Ofu, Etemaiyi Ebo of Igalamela and Ogohi-Onu of Anyigba Alh. Shuaib Abu Okolo, urging them to continue to protect government infrastructure in their communities.
Engineer Farouk commended the people for their patience and assured that Gov. Ododo was resolved to execute projects that would improve the well-being of the people.
The Commissioner and his team were warmly welcomed by the Monarchs,enthusiastic that their dreams were being actualized adding that their joys knew no bounds for the good news.
