Follow up to the request of Ganaja Village Community for the Establishment of a Government Secondary School in the area, the State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones ,FCIB visited the proposed site of the School with a call to the Community to Cooperate with the State Government for the development of the Community and the State at large.
The Commissioner said that the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is passionate about the welfare of the people of Ganaja Village and would do everything possible to ensure that they enjoyed the dividends of democracy.
He noted that the proposed site for the school is suitable and the Ministry would forward their request and recommendations to the Governor for approval, saying that the Governor being a lover of Education would approve their demand.
Hon. Jones who was represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Hon. Abdullahi Abdulmalik stated that the State Government needed only their cooperation and collaboration for the early take off of the School.
He noted that with the fast growing population of Ganaja Village Community, one Government Secondary School would not be enough to meet the admission needs of the Pupils.
In his address, HRH. Anaza Gaku of Ganaja, Chief. Yakubu Abubaka Jibrin appreciated the Governor for his prompt response to matters affecting the welfare of the people of the State.
Chief Yakubu Abubaka while expressing his gratitude to the Commissioner and the Governor for the intervention, pledged the unalloyed support of Ganaja Village Community to the programs and policies of the present administration.
He called on the state Government to as a matter of Urgency and necessity to complete Capt. Idris Wada bypass in order to open up the community for economic growth and development
