Kogi State Commissioner for Education Hon. Wemi Jones has called on Stakeholders in Education to work assiduously to put an end to Examination Malpractices as it benefits no one.
The call he said is for the benefit of the State and the future of the children as no society can develop without sound Education.
He made the call during the 2024/2025 WAEC briefing exercise held at Our Lady of Schools Anyigba for public schools in the Eastern Senatorial District of Kogi State.
The Commissioner who was represented by the Permanent Secretary Dr Jibrin Saidu Alhaji said as products (stakeholders) of sound Education that was laid by past stakeholders in Education it behoves on them ( the present stakeholders) to bequeath to the present and future generations a flawless system devoid of Examination Malpractices.
He tasked the stakeholders to do everything with in their ends and positions to reduce Examination Malpractices.
According to him "time has come for everyone as a matter of obligation to put an ends to the menace of Examination Malpractices as it does more harm than the little benefits their are getting from it now.'
The cankerworm called Examination Malpractices according to him has eaten deep into the society and will required all hands to be on deck to reduce or stop it.
Kogi State Government he said will not take it likely with anyone found culpable, saying whoever that is caught Will be sanctioned in line with the State Education Law.
In his words " we are begging you now to please put an end to this menace called Education Malpractice so that tomorrow you will not come and beg us as stringent measures will be taken against whoever that is found wanting."
" We are pleading with you to help the Education system , the students to grow by putting an end to Examination Malpractices" he noted.
