Kogi State Head of Service, Dr. Elijah Evinemi FCA, has called for continued synergy amongst the Civil Servants.
Dr. Elijah Evinemi made the call during the Annual Inter-religious prayers, held at the Kogi State Secretariat Conference Hall in Lokoja to usher in the new year.
Dr. Evinemi emphasized the importance of synergy and dedication amongst Kogi Workforce, cutting across the two major religions (Christians & Islam) as well as diverse ethnic tribes and cultures.
He lauded Governor Ododo's unwavering support and commitment to the welfare of the people, urging Civil Servants to double their efforts in striving for excellence in the discharge of their duties in 2025.
He urged them to reflect on Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo's relentless dedication to staff welfare, adding that the efforts of the Governor should be supported at all levels.
In a brief sermon, Pastor Funsho Paul who is the Chaplain, Public Service Christian Fellowship, Secretariat Chapel, charged the people to put behind the past, stressing that God is set to do new things in 2025.
While speaking on human responsibility, the clergyman advised Civil Servants to move closer to God through prayer, faith, obedience and thanksgiving.
In his remark, Mallam Usman Busari, who represented the Muslim faithfuls, called for reconciliation amongst the Civil Servants, emphasizing the need for peaceful coexistence in the system, irrespective of religion.
The event featured prayers and exhortations from both Muslim and Christian leaders.
It is note worthy that, the programme is basically a spiritual and motivational initiative of the current Head of Service aimed at enhancing productivity among the workforce in year 2025.
