In a vibrant display of camaraderie and support, the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State (SGS), Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, Ph.D., led staff from her office—alongside political office holders, chairmen, and secretaries of Local Government Authorities—to celebrate the traditional wedding of Mr. Oritogun Emmanuel Dada, her official chauffeur, and Miss Edeh Omoh Roseline.
The colourful ceremony took place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the bride’s country home in Ajaokuta, Ajaokuta Local Government Area, and served as a unique team-building opportunity, aimed at boosting staff morale and workplace productivity.
While addressing guests, the SGS commended Mr. Emmanuel’s unwavering professionalism, saying:
" For more than nine years in the saddle as SGS, my pilot displayed zeal, courage, and strength of character in the discharge of his duties - in which lam well pleased. "
She offered marital advice to the couple, urging them to build their home on God’s word and let love and forgiveness be the foundation:
" If love and forgiveness prevail in your home, then peace and prosperity will follow."
The ceremony featured a sermon by Pastor Godwin Suleiman of Deeper Life Bible Church, Ajaokuta, who spoke on “Success in Marriage through the Saviour” The couple was formally joined in holy matrimony by Venerable Timothy M. Akande of the Anglican Church, Ogori/Magongo.
Guests, including friends of the SGS, staff, and well-wishers, were treated to a delightful reception filled with assorted food, drinks, and soul-lifting music, marking a memorable day of joy and unity.
