Emotional Farewell As Mrs. Comfort Funmilayo Bello Hands Over to Pastor Mrs. Praise Akubo as Director of Administration Kogi State Government House

The Kogi State Government House was filled with emotions today as Mrs. Comfort Funmilayo Bello handed over to Pastor Mrs. Praise Akubo as the new Director of Administration. The outgoing Director's departure marked the end of an era, and her colleagues paid glowing tributes to her dedication and service.
Mrs. Bello, in her farewell address, charged her successor to be committed to the job, carry everyone along, and be sure-footed in her responsibility adding that as you take over, remember that leadership is not about title, but about impact, she advised. She also noted that the incoming should always put the interests of others before her own and strive to make a difference in the lives of those around her.

In her words "I Bello Funmilayo Comfort, I am handling over to you as the next Director Admin of Government House and as I am giving you this Barton,  my prayer is that the Lord will grant you wisdom to be able to perform the affairs of the Government House , all staff and Directors shall be in one love" she said.
Pastor Mrs. Akubo, in her acceptance speech, thanked Mrs. Bello for her sterling leadership and promised to build on the foundation laid by her predecessor. "I pledge to work tirelessly to take the administration to the next level," she said. "I urge all staff members to cultivate the attitude of patience, as it is the key to career growth and success."
She used the medium to thank her Husband Pastor Akubo for all his support and patience that could bring her to this enviable height.

The Director General of Government House Administration, Alh. Umar Shuaibu Oricha, represented by the Transport Officer, Mal Zakari, praised Mrs. Bello for her quality time spent at the Government House and the positive impact she made, described her as a pillar of strength and a shining example of dedication and hard work, he further presented a gift to the outgoing Director.
Other colleagues, including the Director of Training, Gbenga Olutumeyi, and the Director of Account, Mal Ibrahim Momoh, eulogized Mrs. Bello and congratulated Pastor Mrs. Akubo on her new role. "As you take over, remember that every staff member is unique, with different characters and strengths," Olutumeyi advised. "Take the time to understand each of them, and you will reap the benefits of a harmonious and productive team."

In a goodwill message, the Director of Special Duties, Hajiya Adiza Ali, congratulated both the outgoing and incoming Directors and prayed for God's guidance in their various endeavors. The Director of Protocol, Mr. Emmanuel Dogwo, also congratulated both celebrants, praising God for Mrs. Bello's strong and agile retirement.

As Mrs. Bello departs, she leaves behind a legacy of dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence. Her successor, Pastor Mrs. Akubo, has big shoes to fill, but with the support of her colleagues, she is poised to take the administration to new heights.
