Kogi Deputy Gov Attends Wedding of Aide, Omika Idris, and Sumeiya Abdullahi in Ejule
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu, today graced the wedding reception of one of his aides and protégé, Mallam Omika Idris, and his spouse, Mallama Sumeiya Abdullahi, at Community Secondary School, Ejule, Ofu Local Government Area.

The Deputy Governor was accompanied by his wife, Deaconess Margaret Eleojo Salifu, the nine local government council chairmen in Kogi East, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Hilary Ojoma Egwudah, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Timothy Ojoma Egwudah, the DG Kogi Community Watch and Ancillary Matters, Hon. Muhammed Nasiru Alfa, the Adviser to the Governor on Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Hon. Eunice Treasures Achimugu, the State Accountant of NUT, Comrade Uhiene Sule, as well as party leaders and other dignitaries.

In his remarks, the Deputy Governor congratulated the newlyweds on their milestone, noting that marriage is not a bed of roses but a journey of love, patience, and mutual understanding. He described the couple as well-suited for each other, having known them closely over time.

He expressed joy at celebrating with them and prayed for God’s blessings upon their union, including fruitfulness and the gift of children.
