Kogi Deputy Gov Urges New Appointees to Take Governance Closer to the People
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Comrade Joel Salifu, earlier today received in audience the newly appointed aides to the Governor from Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area at his office in Lokoja.
The delegation was led by Hon. Eunice Achimugu, Special Adviser to the Governor on Illicit Drugs and Trafficking. The new appointees includes Hon. Danjuma Odoba, Hon. Philemon S. Achimugu, and Hon. Ismaila Haruna, all appointed as Senior Special Assistants to the Governor on Grassroots Sensitization, as well as Hon. Acho Muhammed, appointed as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Women Mobilization. They had visited to say thank you to the Governor for trusting them with the appointment.
In his remarks, the Deputy Governor congratulated the new appointees on their well-deserved appointments and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by the Governor through hard work, loyalty, and commitment to service.
He charged them to return to their respective communities, identify with party members, and contribute meaningfully to the development agenda of the present administration.
Comrade Joel further reaffirmed the administration’s determination to reward competence and dedication, stressing that every appointment comes with a task to deliver results and strengthen the bond between the government and the people.
