The Permanent Secretary Kogi State Ministry of Education has received a Lifetime Civil Service Gold Award in recognition of his spectacular leadership style, visions, discipline and effective service delivery from the Movement For Peaceful and Equitable Governance in Nigeria (MOPEGON)
MOPEGON is a None Governmental Organization that plays a leading role in advocating for peace, equity, justice, gender and good governance at all levels of Governance in Nigeria.
Presenting the award to him in his office on Monday 20th April, the State Coordinator of MOPEGON Mr. Getine Omojah in his address said that the award is in recognition of his significant contributions to public health development and his vision, discipline and effectiveness to the education sector.
He stated that as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, he has created a seamless synergy of the top hierarchy of the Ministry towards the actualization of various policies of Government, saying that the State has seen renewed vigor in the education sector.
According to Mr. Getine, the award is not just in recognition of his achievements but the value he represented, noting that the Permanent Secretary had shown values of excellence, dedication and selfless service.
He commended the State Governor Alhaji. Ahmed Usman Ododo for pursuing quality, competence and capacity in the appointment of Mr. Alabi as a Permanent Secretary and the State Commissioner for Education Hon. Wemi Jones for giving him a conducive environment to work.
Responding, the Permanent Secretary Mr. Alabi Albert Bamigbade thanked the organization for the award and promised that the award will be a wake up call to his duties and responsibilities.
He appreciated the Governor of the State for the opportunity to serve and the State Commissioner for Education, the conducive environment for him to work.
He dedicated the Award to the Directors and the staff of the Ministry of Education for their support, hardwork and dedication to duties.
The Award was presented to the Permanent Secretary by the Director General of MOPEGON, Counsel Bello Omeiza.
