51st Birthday: Kogi Deputy Gov Celebrates Former Gov Yahaya Bello, Hails His Enduring Legacy
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Comrade Joel Salifu, has felicitated with the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, on the occasion of his 51st birthday anniversary.
In a statement personally signed by him on Thursday, the Deputy Governor described Alhaji Yahaya Bello as the Supreme Leader and Father of Modern-Day Kogi State, whose visionary leadership laid the foundation for the progress and development being witnessed across the state today.
Comrade Joel Salifu expressed profound gratitude to the former Governor for his fatherly role, guidance, and uncommon support over the years, noting that Yahaya Bello took him like a son and gave him the opportunity to serve the people of Kogi State at the highest level of government.
According to him, “Your Excellency's belief in me and countless other young people remains one of the greatest testimonies of your commitment to leadership development and succession. I am deeply grateful for the confidence you reposed in me and for the opportunity to serve as Deputy Governor under the administration of our Chief Servant, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.”
The Deputy Governor commended the former Governor for providing purposeful leadership during his tenure, stressing that his administration brought significant improvements in infrastructure, security, youth inclusion, education, healthcare, and governance.
He noted that Alhaji Yahaya Bello's courage, political foresight, and determination to unite the diverse people of Kogi State have earned him a special place in the history of the state.
“As you celebrate your 51st birthday, I join your family, friends, political associates, and the good people of Kogi State in thanking Almighty God for your life and service to humanity. May He continue to grant you good health, divine wisdom, strength, and many more years of impactful service to our nation,” he said.
The Deputy Governor prayed for God's continued guidance and blessings upon the former Governor and wished him a joyous and fulfilling birthday celebration.
