KOGI 2027: ODODO URGES POLITICAL ACTORS TO SHUN VIOLENCE, EMBRACE PEACE
As political activities intensify ahead of the elections, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has reiterated his call for peace, tolerance, and responsible political participation across the state.
The Governor’s message comes as a timely reminder to political actors, supporters, and citizens to reject political thuggery, hate speech, intimidation, and every form of conduct capable of threatening the peace, unity, and security of Kogi State.
Governor Ododo has consistently emphasized that politics should be about ideas, development, and service to the people not violence, destruction, or the promotion of division.
As the state moves towards another electoral season, all stakeholders are encouraged to respect one another, uphold the rule of law, and allow citizens to exercise their democratic rights freely and peacefully.
The peace and stability of Kogi State remain a collective responsibility. Every political party, candidate, supporter, and citizen has a role to play in ensuring that political differences do not undermine the unity and progress of the state.
Kogi State must remain a home for peace, democracy, and development.
Say NO to political violence.
Say NO to political thuggery.
Say YES to peaceful elections.
